Welcome to FurOmatic dog and cat Grooming Salon! Before booking an appointment, please read the following terms and conditions carefully:

1. Appointments

   • All grooming services are by appointment only.

   • Walk-in appointments may be accommodated based on availability.

2. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

   • Kindly provide at least 24 hours' notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee.

   • There is $20 No-Show Fee which will be added to your next appointment.

3. Health 

   • All pets should be free of contagious diseases 

   • We reserve the right to refuse grooming services if your pet shows signs of illness.

4. De-matting

   • We strictly do not perform de-matting by brushing. This process is painful and distressing for dogs. All matted coats will be shaved for the dog’s comfort and safety.​

5. Behavior

   • Aggressive or excessively nervous pets may require a muzzle for grooming.

   • We reserve the right to refuse service excessive aggressive pets. 

6. Payment

   • Payment is due at the time of service.

   • We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of electronic payment.

7. Completion of Services

   • We will notify you once your pet's grooming is complete.

   • Pets should be picked up within 1 hour of notification​

8. Grooming Adjustments 

   • If you are not fully satisfied with your pet’s groom or would like minor adjustments (e.g. additional trimming), please contact us within 72 hours (3 days) of your appointment. We will be happy to make reasonable adjustments within this timeframe.

   • Requests made after 72 hours will require a new booking and will be charged accordingly. 

9. Pet Safety & Injury 

   • ​While we take every reasonable care to ensure the safety and comfort of all pets, grooming can involve certain risks, especially for pets with matted coats, sensitive skin, or behavioural challenges. Minor nicks, scratches, or irritation may occasionally occur during the grooming process and are considered an inherent risk of grooming.​

   • In the unlikely event of a serious injury occurring during the grooming process due to our negligence, we will take full responsibility and cover veterinary expenses in accordance with our insurance policy.

   • If you notice any injury or concern after returning home, you must notify us within 24 hours of the appointment so we can assess and assist appropriately. Failure to notify us within this timeframe may will result in the matter not being accepted as our responsibility.

10.  Sensitive Skin 

    • For dogs with sensitive skin, allergies, or known skin conditions, owners must inform our team at the time of drop-off and provide clear instructions if a sensitive skin shampoo or medicated shampoo is required.

    • If we are not informed prior to grooming, our standard salon shampoo products may be used as part of the service.

    • While we always use high-quality professional grooming products, failure to disclose your dog’s skin sensitivities may result in an unexpected skin reaction.

    • In such cases, our salon cannot accept responsibility or liability for any skin reactions, veterinary treatment, or associated vet costs resulting from undisclosed skin conditions or shampoo requirements.

    • By leaving your dog in our care, you acknowledge that it is the owner’s responsibility to advise us of any medical, skin, allergy, or product sensitivities before the grooming service begins.

11. Anal Gland Expression

    • Anal gland expression is included at no extra cost with all grooming services. However, as some dogs can be sensitive or may not require this procedure, we only perform anal gland expression upon the owner’s request.​

    • If you would like this service for your dog, please let us know at the time of booking or during check-in. If no request is made, we will not carry out anal gland expression.
